whew! this is one of the largest projects i've ever undertaken. Spring and Summer each took me 4 hours, and autumn and winter took me 6 hours together. i don't know which one's which, because i did both at the same time.
i was basically trying to get the trails coming from the sun just right. in Terragen, that effect is called Bliss. well, believe me, creating Bliss is definately not Bliss.
then the rendering took about 2 hours each. and finally, the postwork (border, title) took maybe 5 minutes.
all in all, 22 hours of non stop, computer crashing, coffee ingesting fun.
enjoy!

Jen: What's this?
Me: You can name your character. Just leave it as Squall, it's what it's supposed to be in the game.
Jen: *presses buttons*
Me: ...Squibbly?
it's weird, because i made these separately without actually planning to make them fit together. but when i was done with them all, i was just like, "huh." and they became the four seasons.
i tried to render a video for "Autumn" on one of those new computers that's supposedly got 500x the processing power of my laptop, and about 30 seconds into the second frame, the whole thing crashed. the computer shut down and didn't start up for 5 minutes.
mind you, i've got the settings on high quality and i'm rendering at 1280x960, but that really shouldn't make a big difference with those computers. i was seriously disappointed.
and for some reason, i just can't figure out TG2. the new layout and "nodes" network is just too complex for me to enjoy making the stuff as i do it.
